Postdoc Fellow  

• Lead research projects, manage and apply grants, and support stakeholder liaison and outreach.

Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (2019-2023)

Research Assistant 

• Conduct national baseline studies and case studies on climate policies of Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei and develop policy database for the Global Mitigation Atlas project at the Institute for Environment & Sustainability (IES), LKYSPP.

• Collaborate with Assistant Professor Tan Soo Jie Sheng of LKYSPP in gathering information from news, official documents, and other sources on low-carbon pilots in Chinese cities. 

• Collaborate with Assistant Professor Mariana Kaneti of LKYSPP in research project titled “Power, legitimacy, agency: the Belt Road Initiative and visions for the interconnected world.” 

• Collaborate with Assistant Professor Li Hui of LKYSPP in various research projects on public finance and public management, in charge of data collection and management and literature review writing.

World Bank (2021)

Policy Analyst 

• Analyze the water use trend in China and write policy research reports to provide facts, analyses, and policy recommendations to clients.

• Collaborate with the project PI, Assistant Professor Sonia Akter of LKYSPP, in the project titled “The Valuation of Water in China” by the client demand from the World Bank.  

• Conduct a systematic literature review on the key trends, drivers, and challenges facing China's water use.

• Conduct econometric analyses of China’s water decoupling trend by sector and region and write and publish a journal article titled “Water Decoupling Trends and Drivers in China 2000−2020.” 

Duke Kunshan University (2017-2018)

Research Assistant

• Lead a sub-project on the Paris Agreement and Climate Change under the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s emergency management program under supervision of Professor Zhang Junjie.

• Design and conduct research and write interim reports and policy memos for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Development and Reform Commission.

• Coordinate team members and take role of intermediary with external project participants.

• Research on Jing-Jin-Ji Air Pollution Control with Professor Kathinka Furst.

Fudan University (2016-2017)

Research Assistant 

• Conduct research at the Center for China’s Relations with Neighboring Countries.

• Compile and proofread book: Fudan Survey of China’s Neighbouring Countries.

• Collect data, create presentation slides, and analyze literature.

Administrative Assistant 

• Facilitate international students in applying for admission, registering for classes, and traveling from school, and guide Chinese students to complete exchange procedures.

• Organize extracurricular activities and moderate between students and staff in International Office.

• Lead editing work for academic journal New Political Science and Proceedings of International Graduate Workshop on "China and the EU in a Multipolar World."
